Coconut Grove is one of Miami’s oldest neighborhoods. Initially a farming community, Coconut Grove became a popular residential area as the city of Miami expanded. Today, it is an affluent community in Miami with beautiful real estate close to the beach.

Things to Do

The Kampong National Tropical Botanical Garden is on Biscayne Bay in the community and features a wide variety of tropical fruit and flowering trees and plants. The Kampong collection has stunning gardens with plants from Southeast Asia, Central America, and the Caribbean. Locals can participate in tours and educational programs at the national garden.
 
Billed as the art event of the year, the Coconut Grove Art Festival captivates locals and guests each February. The Festival began in 1963 and has evolved from a clothesline arts fair to one of the largest outdoor arts festivals in the U.S. It’s a non-profit event and proceeds fund year-round arts programs.
 
David T. Kennedy Park is a beautiful coastal space with bike paths, open lawns, outdoor gym equipment, waterfront areas, volleyball, and playgrounds.
 
Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is a Gilded Age estate with formal gardens, a mangrove shoreline, and rocky hammocks. The natural beauty of the area is a national historic landmark.
 
A short walk from downtown Coconut Grove, Regatta Harbour is a waterfront hub where residents can enjoy nature, socialize, and patronize the businesses moving into the Harbour’s 55,000 square feet of retail space. Yoga studios, cafes, and boutiques make Regatta Harbour a viable everyday location; as a visitor, you can walk, bike, or boat to the area via Biscayne Bay.
